REPORTING RELATIONSHIP AND SCOPE

This position reports directly to the Sr. Vice President Regional Lending Officer

This position reports indirectly to the EVP Sr. Lending Officer

 

FLSA STATUS

This position is classified as Non-Exempt under the FLSA.

 

OVERVIEW:

The purpose of this position is to:             

  • Monitor the closing of loan relationships and make sure loans are closed in timely, organized fashion while maintaining compliance with regulatory rules and laws as well as bank policy.
  • Identify and take advantage of opportunities to promote and refer bank products and services to satisfy customers' financial needs and goals and direct them to the appropriate staff.
  • Follow the established policies and procedures for this position, as directed by the supervisor.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Follow policies and procedures to complete loans transactions in unison with loan officer; and be a liaison between customer and loan officer, and between customer and Loan Ops.
  • Obtain necessary applications, disclosures, fees, etc.
  • Once loan is approved, prepare closing package and order necessary loan information to complete each transaction such as: appraisals, title work for real estate loans, type loan documents, etc.
  • Assist loan customers with service issues such as payments, auto transfers, interest calculations, insurance reports, etc.
  • Assist customers with draws on construction projects.
  • Send completed loan file to Loan Operations for audit/file review prior to funding.
  • Assist Loan Officers/Portfolio Managers with monitoring of loan maturity report and prepare renewals if needed.
  • Assist Loan Officers/Portfolio Managers with monitoring of past-due loan report and call customer for payment
  • Assist Loan Officers/Portfolio Managers with monitoring of loan ticklers/exceptions reports and make contact with customers for the collection of new/current financial information.
  • Refer inquiries from customers regarding the collections for overdraft on the DDA list to branch managers.
  • Attend all meetings and complete all training required to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Comply with all applicable Federal and State regulations and guidance associated with the performance of your job function.
  • Comply with all applicable BSA/AML/OFAC policies and procedures associated with the performance of your job function, including participation in required training and identifications of suspicious activity.
  • Responsible for making suggestions to improve branch/departmental operations and overall bank.
  • Perform other duties and assignments within the bank at Management's request; accept periodic cross-training, works in other branches if needed.
