 LOAN OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

Promote, market, and facilitate the overall sale of products of the bank. Contribute to the bank's growth by the effective sale of bank services to new and existing customers with emphasis on courteous and professional service.

 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP AND SCOPE

This position reports directly to the AVP Loan Operations & Loan Processor Manager

This position reports indirectly to the SrVP - Senior Credit Officer 

 

FLSA STATUS

This position is classified as Non-Exempt under the FLSA. 

 

OVERVIEW

The purpose of this position is to perform the duties related to processing, closing, funding and servicing of non-real estate consumer and commercial loans.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Maintain a productive work flow and work as a member of a professional team.
  • Cross train in all areas of the department and rotate duties periodically.
    • Ensure that all required documentation is present in the loan request by completing consumer/commercial request checklist.
    • Prepare loan documents for consumer and commercial loans using LaserPro software.
    • Funding control-Verify exception approvals/entries prior to release of loan for booking.
    • Fund consumer and commercial loans and book in core system, Precision.
    • Set-up and monitor loan documentation exception tracking and clearing.
    • Scan and verify documents in imaging system.
    • Maintain and track vehicle title registrations, UCC Financing Statements and Certificates of Deposit used as collateral on loans.
    • Verify data input on new and renewed loans.
    • Assist in preparation of loan portion of the monthly Board reports.
    • Process draw/advance requests on loans/lines of credit.
    • Quote and process loan payoffs.
    • Provide data and information to sales staff from files.
    • Process E-OSCAR and credit bureau disputes.
    • Maintain activity logs.
    • Balance and Reconcile assigned General Ledger accounts.
  • Train on new tasks as they are assigned to the department.
  • Troubleshoot and provide assistance to employees/customers on any inquiries, customer service issues, disputes, etc.
  • Assist in writing and updating procedures.
  • Attend all meetings and complete all training required to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Comply with all applicable Federal and State regulations and guidance associated with the performance of your job function.
  • Comply with all applicable BSA/AML/OFAC policies and procedures associated with the performance of your job function, including participation in required training and identifications of suspicious activity.
  • Responsible for making suggestions to improve branch/departmental operations and overall bank.
  • Perform other duties and assignments within the bank at Management's request; accept periodic cross-training, works in other branches if needed.
